At the heart of our work

ESG Policy

“At BSRE, environmental, social, and governance-related considerations are an integral part of our business plan, and we believe this focus will generate outsized financial profitability”

BSRE’s Investment Strategy is centred around a “green” approach:

  • BSRE endeavours to, wherever possible, refurbish rather than demolish existing structures and re-use materials, reducing carbon dioxide emissions that result from new-build construction
  • All projects target at least a BREEAM Excellent certification

All projects endeavour to use renewable energy sources

Environmental sustainability in Real Estate:

The “E” in ESG is the main factor to consider as a value driver for real estate investors and building occupiers. Environmental aspects in real estate include:

  • Efficient energy and water consumption.
  • Low carbon dioxide producing properties, moving towards Net Zero.
  • Covid complying properties with high air-quality
  • Green roofs absorbing air pollution and creating a monoclimate.

Social responsibility in Real Estate:

Real estate has a significant social impact, making the “S” also a value driver:

  • Participation in the rehabilitation of public spaces.
  • Ensuring buildings’ security and assuring human rights.
  • Neglecting social elements can lead to a lack of reputation, lost work, higher employee turnover, increased operating costs, and may threaten one’s ability to operate.

Governance in Real Estate:

Prioritising corporate Governance represents an opportunity for real estate companies to drive long-term value:

  • Compliance with governance rules and guidelines.
  • Ensuring adequate and transparent remuneration.
  • Promoting transparent disclosure of governance issues.
  • Fostering diversity in management and governing bodies.
  • Establishing and communicating organizational values.
